W. Ashton Scott
Ashton received his bachelor's degree in the field of Physics from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York in 2007. He was admitted to the United States Patent Bar in 2009 and worked as a patent prosecutor for four years prior to and during law school. He received his law degree from Florida State University in 2013. During law school, Ashton served as Vice President of Florida State's chapter of Christian Legal Society.
Ashton practices in the areas of estate planning, real estate, probate, business law and intellectual property. He advises both large-scale and small-family business owners on the proper way to structure their corporate entity for asset protection and business succession. Ashton also assists businesses in managing their intellectual property through patents and trademarks and handles residential and commercial real estate transactions. He also works with individuals to help them in planning out their estate and walking them through probate and guardianship processes.
Ashton is a member of the Clay County Bar Association and the Clay County chamber of Commerce.
