April R. Scott
April received her bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Florida in 2006 (B.A, cum laude), and her law degree from Florida State University in 2013 (J.D., Magna Cum Laude) as well as a master's degree in urban planning (M.S.P.). April graduated in the top 10% of her class at Florida State University College of Law and was a member of Law Review and Mock Trial in addition to Christian Legal Society. Prior to entering law school, April spent two years living in Honduras, during which she worked as a missionary and taught school. She speaks in Spanish.
April practices in the areas of estate planning, elder law, guardianships, real estate and asset protection for business owners. She regularly advises clients on implementing wills and trusts in their estate, including special needs planning, charitable trusts and trusts for tax or probate avoidance purposes. April also focuses on helping families face the challenges of long-term care planning while maintaining the dignity of loved ones. April is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys.
